Seeds

music and lyrics by Bernard Hull

Plant a seed and watch it grow,

Sending roots down deep below,

Taking in its nourishment,

Growing slowly, quite content.

Little plant, I’ll nurture you,

Though I really haven’t any clue,

Of how you do the things you do,

You’re so innocent.

Some were born to harvest,

Others born to sow

It doesn’t matter which one you are,

God will make it grow.

Baby plants need lots of care,

And I am sure you are aware,

That if its needs you should deny,

That little plant will surely die.

So do be sure to feed it well,

Then you’ll see the miracle

Of life, as it grows cell by cell.

It just seems to say:

Some were born to harvest,

Others born to sow,

It doesn’t matter which one you are

God will make it grow
